Alternative Sending Method for Results file:

"Send to Support" requires an open case with Technical Support

• UNLESS you already have an open case with technical support for a problem with your WhatsUp Gold software, DO NOT use "Send to Support" during the BETA test 
• If you need to open a Technical Support case, visit  http://www.whatsupgold.com/support/technical-support.aspx

"Send to Ipswitch" and "Send to Support" in WUG MD use an encrypted SMTP session over the SMTP Submission port (TCP 587) to securely transmit results. If the WhatsUp Gold computer is behind a firewall or has no Internet access, this communication is not possible.  

To manually send us your "Application Usage" results:

• Save results to a .zip archive 
• Use Ipswitch's sendable.com to manually and securely send us your results .zip file

About WUG MD

WUG MD is a passive reading utility application. It will NOT change any configurations in your system. WUG MD will allow you to gather some statistical information about your WUG system. WUG MD gathers the following information by default:

• Device types and counts
• Number of active, passive, and performance monitors defined, collected, & disabled
• Device types & counts
• Active & performance monitor types & counts
• Database & database table sizes
• Database type & version
• Serial number, registered name, & licensed plugins

WUG MD does NOT gather any credentials, IP addresses or sensitive information about your organization. If the report results contain information from your WUG deployment that you feel is too sensitive to share or send securely to Ipswitch, please tell us how we can give you more control over the contents of the report that goes to Ipswitch Tech Support.

Privacy policy & use of data: The data you provide to us from this Beta test will be used for Product Development and Tech Support purposes only. Ipswitch will use this data to further develop the WUG MD troubleshooting and diagnostic tool AND to make better informed product development decisions that take into account how customers really use the WhatsUp Gold software. Ipswitch will NOT share this data outside of our organization and will NOT use this data for marketing or sales purposes.
