There is no API currently available.

Hello,

thanks for the reply.

I would like to ask if I would like to customize WhatUpGold with new features addition to changing the GUI as I do? If that is possible.

Thank you.

If you're a WhatsUp Gold partner I still don't think they allow you to change the console GUI persay (could be wrong). However, if you're good with .asp, .net then you could do quite a bit with the web interface -- however, this is 'not supported by IpSwitch'

So if I wanted to integrate new features, even with some type of license, can I not? I can only change the GUI provided it is WhatsUp Gold partner?

http://whatsupcompanion.orsenna.com/ is the only WhatsUp gold partner that 'adds' to WUG. Notice these are all just additional active monitors. @WhatsUpGuru could provide more information, I don't work at IpSwitch..I'm just going off what I've seen and what I know.

If you own a license of WUG, you have every right to change it to fit your needs.  That being said though, any changes made to the product are not supported by Ipswitch.  As @Jason mentioned, you can easily make changes to the web UI by simply modifying the ASP files within the install directory, and all of the data is stored in an open and accessible database.

If you do make changes and start to experience problems with the product that require technical support, you will be asked to return WUG, including all of the components, to the original state after install before any assistance can be provided.

If I am the owner of a license WUG, I can change both the web UI and the core of the application to suit my needs?

Yes, but again, if there comes a point that you need to contact and interact with our support group, you will be asked to revert all changes back.
