APC Environmental Monitoring

I just started purchasing APC network cards with temp and humidity sensors for our IDF closets. APC's network cards have an interface that can be logged into and at a glance, we can see the temp/humidity/battery/power stats. Can this be pulled into WUG so when I click on the device, it shows those parameters? I read up the MIBs but didnt fully understand if this is what needs to be done, if at all possible. Any help would be appreciated.

If those devices are SNMP manageable then the easy answer is yes you can pull this information into WUG.  If so, you will need to create a custom performance monitor for each of the values that you wish to capture.

Hi Wayne, I have built custom perf monitors for APC sensor in the past, and typically, all the counters you need are found in the PowerNet-MIB. This MIB is compiled into What's Up Gold by default.

If I look at the SNMP MIB Manager under the Admin tab I see the powernet-MIB listed. When I go to add the performance monitor, I cant find the MIB's in the list. Am I looking in the right place?

I think I figured it out. Looks as though my custom performance monitor is pulling the temp and humidity. Thanks for the feedback!
